> Titles

We discussed three titles. Participants chose one to read. They have all become key reference points in the discussion around innovation in general, and particular around the future of the Web. These books have been received and adopted without extensive reflection, and their core ideas are now referenced without explanation and assuming their acceptance. It is time for them be be subjected to more critical reflection.

Reviews

‘The Wisdom of Crowds’: Problem Solving Is a Team Sport New York Times Sunday Book Review, May 22, 2004

Be a blinking marvel Stephen Bayley, Observer (UK), February 6, 2005

Wag the dog The Economist, July 6th 2006. One weakness of this otherwise excellent book is that it tries to apply the theory of the long tail to fields far beyond entertainment and e-commerce. [Shared bookmark]
